RCG Hub API Example
This page performs an API call that retreives information stored on https://rcg.wiki/books/retail-internal/page/extending-ring-time-on-vodafone and loads it so that it can be viewed by the customer on our websites. This page is currently undergoing testing and can break at times. Page ID for this is 8.
How to extend ringtime before going to voicemail on the Vodafone network (Any phone)
You can change how long your mobile is set to ring before going to voicemail from 5 to 30 seconds, in 5-second intervals. It's set to 15 seconds as standard. You can check what it is currently set to by dialling *#61# which will bring up a list.
To change the ringing time (to **30 seconds **in this case):
- Dial **61*121*11*30# and press call
- Phone should respond with success
- Call the phone number to test it.
If you get "Invalid MMI code" OR It's still only ringing for 15 seconds then its possible that you also need to update the call divert setting (even if they have call divert turned off). You can do this by using 10 (Call Divert) instead of 11 (Call Waiting)
- Dial **61*121*10*30# and press call
- Phone should respond with success
- Call the phone number to test it.
Now sometimes it still won't work! 🤬 - in this case take out the SIM card and use another phone like a rental Nokia C2 for example and dial the two codes again, this often works well and solves the issue.
