Lumigon T3 – first smartphone with night vision camera

Although it has been around for a few years now, the Lumigon T3 is still worth a look if you want to stand out from the crowd with your smartphone.

When launched, back in 2016, it was the world’s first smartphone with a night vision camera. So, it is ideal for all you budding nocturnal wildlife photographers or those wanting to send in an audition for Most Haunted.

Strong and stylish design

This 4MP night vision camera has dual IR flash allowing you to take pictures in total darkness. In addition, it is supported by a standard 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera with flash. The camera has its own dedicated button on the side to give quick access. While the volume buttons allow you to quickly zoom in and out.

The look and construction of the Lumigon T3 is a little different as well. Firstly, its body is made of molybdenum marine grade 316 stainless steel – a very strong material. This strength is backed up by the Gorilla Glass 4 used in the front and back of the device. To wrap it up, the phone is dust and water resistant.

4.8” Super AMOLED display

On the back of the phone is the BackTouch. This is a touch-sensitive pad that allows you to swipe photos and scroll web sites without needing to touch the screen.

With it being a few years old, the Lumigon T3’s screen is not of the large size expected from premium smartphones these days. Coming in with only a 4.8” Super AMOLED display makes it comparable in size with older iPhones.

It uses a MediaTek Helio X10 chip with 3GB of RAM and a very generous 128GB of storage. Because of its IR capability you can use the Lumigon T3 to control your TV or other device. Finally, it comes with a stylish designer headset and gesture control, so you can answer calls without needing to touch the phone.

You can now pick up the Lumigon T3 up for a reasonable price. So, if you are looking for a high quality and stylish smartphone, and view a lot of the extras added to phones over the last few years as superfluous, the Lumigon T3 is worth considering
