RCUK Safe Telecom Terms & Conditions

 

  1. Scope of Service

1.1 RCUK provides access to Safe Telecom custom software and associated management services on a Software as a Service basis.

1.2 The service includes access to the approved application store, software updates, and ongoing configuration management.

1.3 RCUK reserves the right to modify, enhance, restrict or update features at its discretion.

  1. Subscription Terms

2.1 Monthly Subscription

  • Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time.
    • Cancellation requires 30 days written notice.
    • Charges will continue during the notice period.

2.2 Annual Subscription

  • Annual subscriptions are payable in advance.
    • Annual subscriptions are non refundable.
    • Early termination does not entitle the customer to any refund or credit.
  1. Application Store & Software Controls

3.1 Applications available within the software environment are subject to ongoing review.

3.2 RCUK reserves the right to:
• Approve or decline any application
• Remove any application
• Restrict functionality

If an application is found to breach the ethos or compliance standards of Safe Telecom or RCUK, it may be removed without notice.

3.3 RCUK will endeavour to introduce additional productivity applications where appropriate. All additions are at RCUK’s sole discretion.

  1. Software Installation & Removal

4.1 Once the Safe Telecom custom software has been installed on a device, the device becomes locked to the Safe Telecom environment.

4.2 In most cases, the software cannot be removed.

4.3 Where removal is technically possible, it may:
• Be subject to an administrative or technical fee
• Require factory reset
• Result in loss of data

Removal is not guaranteed.

  1. Upgrades & Downgrades

5.1 Customers may upgrade their service package at any time.

5.2 Upgrades will be charged at the price difference between packages.

5.3 Downgrades to a lower package are not permitted during an active subscription term.

  1. Software Updates & Support

6.1 Updates will be issued periodically and at RCUK’s discretion.

6.2 Software support is provided for up to 24 months from the original device purchase date.

6.3 After 24 months, continued compatibility or support is not guaranteed.

  1. Device & Manufacturer Warranty

7.1 The Safe Telecom software does not invalidate the standard Google manufacturer warranty.

7.2 Hardware warranty claims must be processed through the manufacturer in accordance with their terms.

  1. Data Responsibility

8.1 Customers are solely responsible for backing up and maintaining all data stored on their device.

8.2 RCUK and Safe Telecom accept no responsibility for:
• Loss of data
• Corruption of data
• Business interruption
• Loss arising from software updates, resets or reconfigurations

  1. General

9.1 RCUK reserves the right to amend these terms from time to time.

9.2 Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
