Nokia unveils new phone line-up

The IFA event is typically the time for some handset manufacturers to release new models, and this year, in Berlin, it has been the turn of Nokia. They have announced 5 new phones that either update existing models or fill a gap in their range.

Starting at the low end, the Nokia 110 feature phone has a small 1.77” TFT screen that gives a modern take on the classic Nokia handset of the early noughties. Available in 3 colours it has 32GB of memory for your music, a camera and FM radio as well as a basic Web browser. It is expected to cost less than £20

Nokia 2720 – flip phone with 4G

The 2720 has two separate screens (who needs the Samsung Galaxy Fold ?). The outer lets you see who is calling and any messages. With 28 days of standby time from a single charge it also has the Google Assistant for quick searching of the Internet and a 2MP camera. Apps such as Facebook and WhatsApp come preloaded, helping you stay in touch. It is available in Ocean Black. More details on the 2720.

Nokia 800 Tough

The Nokia 800 Tough is designed to combat drops, dust, sand, water and extreme temperatures, giving it an IP68 rating. It has bigger buttons, anti-slip grip and supports 4G LTE, making it the perfect device for robust working environments. With a flashlight, camera and loudspeaker, powered by a long-lasting battery the 800 Tough can cope with whatever you throw at it. More details on the 800 Tough.

Nokia 6.2 smartphone

This upgrade to the 6.1 has an enhanced display and a triple camera setup. The 6.3” screen has PureDisplay technology enabling it to adapt to whatever lighting you are in. While the rear camera consists of a 16MP main camera, a 118-degree 8MP wide angle camera and a 5MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is 8MP. More details on the Nokia 6.2.

Nokia 7.2 smartphone

The 7.2 is the successor to last year’s 7.1 and like the 6.2 has an improved screen and camera setup. The screen is the same 6.3” one used by the 6.2 but the camera setup is different. The 7.2 has three Zeiss lenses: 48MP main, 8MP, 118-degree wide angle and a 5MP depth sensor. While the front camera is 20MP. More details on the Nokia 7.2.
