Samsung Galaxy A80 – handset focus

According to Samsung the new Galaxy A80 is “... built for those who live their lives in the moment...”. Sounds good, but what does this means for the phone and you using it?

Well the main difference you will notice about the A80, compared to most other phones, is the rotating selfie camera. This ingenious design flicks up the rear facing camera module and the top quarter of the back of the phone, and rotates the camera through 180 degrees, so you can use the self-same cameras on the front. As this consists of on impressive 48MP main camera, 8MP Ultra-wide camera and a 3D depth camera, the scope to take selfies that will wow your friends is greatly increased.

Rotating camera and clean screen

This camera layout means there are no notches, tear-drops or cutouts on the main 6.7” full HD+ Super AMOLED screen. Coupled with its near bezel-less design it allows Samsung to show off its Infinity Display technology to maximum effect.

The A80 comes with a 3,700 mAh battery and 25W super-fast charging technology to power its Octa-core processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also has on-screen fingerprint security fused into the glass giving ease-of-use and security in one tap.

With Gorilla glass front and rear and an aluminum frame it weighs 220g and feels solid and high quality in your hand.
